About the Artist/Designer
Victoria Simon is an artist who accidentally stumbled into the major of graphic design. Winning a t-shirt design contest back in 2018 for her local town's Memorial Day Fair. Inspired to make the difficult transition from physical media to digital after watching many online videos of people making digital art.
She enjoys a multitude of things from literature to the great outdoors. She enjoys exploring new things and integrating what she observes into the projects and art work she works on.
About the Name
Self-branding is often hard especially, as a graphic designer. You're trying to sell yourself to companies in a way that makes you look reliable and professional, this has been a struggle because; this journey started with art and is still about art. Design requires both the ability to follow instructions as well as guidelines which most of the time isn't bad when you're given plenty of creative freedom and only becomes a problem when the rules become too constraining.
When the name "Vic's Doodles & Designs" was originally created I was not yet on the path of Graphic Design. It was created when I created my art Instagram in 2017 called "scribblesgoneright". I liked it because it had a nice ring to it but now it has a new meaning, as "Doodles & Designs" reflects both my love for art and design and how the placement of the words means I'll always put where I started first. Being an Artist.
The simplistic logo behind the name represents my semi-simplistic art style and the hearts represent my favorite shape to draw, three of them being a nerd video game reference to three lives. The script of the name reflects how I see myself with elegance.
